The founders

In 1905, Wilhelm Iversen started a wholesale business to supply to the needs of the professional painter. In 1910, Peter Wilhelm Mähl joined the enterprise and the Iversen and Mähl OHG was founded.

The business concept of the newly formed company was to sell raw materials for paints, which in those days, the painters used to make their own paints based on their own formulations. This included mainly white and colored pigments, chalk, terpentine and linseed oil.
